Lori Lamb Biography

A new resident of California, I co-starred in Justice with Victor Garber, had supporting roles in two indie films, Finding Red Cloud and Downhill.

My professional experience includes Off-Broadway, Regional Theatre, Television and Film in New York City and Los Angeles. Off-Broadway and Theatre credits include the National Tour with John Houseman’s The Acting Company, performing at the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. and The Public Theatre in New York City.  I also performed lead roles in productions at LaMama and Lincoln Center Insitute. Regional Theatre credits include Syracuse Stage; Studio Arena; Alaska Repertory; Repertory Theatre of St. Louis; Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Stamford Connecticut's Hartman Stage, among others.  T.V. credits include the role of Susie Hayden in The Guiding Light; an Emmy Award winning ABC After School Special, The Late Great Me and a recurring role on Loving; All My Children and many National Commercials including McDonald's, Lysol, Campbell's Soup, Maxim Coffee, Northwest Airlines and others.

Along the way, I have taught and directed for The Hartford Academy of Dramatic Arts, Wesleyan University, Hartford Stage, and The Maui Academy of Dramatic Arts.

My writings include a short novel entitled The Unfit Mother; a full-length play, Pink Carnations, soon to be produced; short stories; a short play, Girlie Show, written in collaboration with six other actress/writers about women and body image; short stories; and, a collection of poetry.

As the recipient of the Music and Drama Award at Henderson Senior High School in my home town of West Chester, Pennsylvania, I went on to collect a BFA from Syracuse University and study Shakespeare and Voice at The London Academy of Dramatic Arts and the Royal Shakespeare Company, London, England in the Syracuse program abroad.  I have lived in New York City, Paris, Hawaii and now, Los Angeles.  I am very happy to be here in the City of Angels - and believe that they will lead me to all good things. And most importantly, I am the lucky mother of the wonderful Sarah Elizabeth Putnam.
